"Spring" is a short story written exclusively for inclusion in the Life These Days: Stories from Lake Wobegon compilation CD set. It is eight pages long, printed on a booklet that fits inside the CD case.

It tells the story of a Palm Sunday in April, where Carl Krebsbach is doing yard work with a tractor that disrupts Pastor Ingqvist's sermon about Job, which is further disrupted when Marilyn Tollerud, one of the altos in the choir gets the hiccups and has to leave. The story also includes some details about Marilyn's youth, including that many men have been injured when they became distracted by her beauty.
